BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese-built Curepe Interchange, the first flyover in Trinidad and Tobago, has been opened to traffic lately.
The project, contracted by China Railway Construction Corporation(International) Limited in October 2017, started construction work in early 2019.
The Curepe Interchange was located at the Churchill Roosevelt Highway (CRH). It is expected to help to alleviate current traffic congestion and save travel times significantly.
After opening to traffic, the project team will continue to implement the remaining part of the ancillary works, and it is estimated that the final completion and inspection will be concluded at the end of May.
