MILAN, Mar. 12 (Class Editori) - Lu-Ve has received the authorization by the Chinese authorities to reopen the productive factory in Tianmen, in the province of Hubei. Even if it only accounts for 2 percent of the group turnover, as a note explains, the production resumption in China represents a particularly positive signal, as well as an important successful experience in managing a complex situation.
From last January 24, the factory had precautionary suspended all its productive activities, according to the emergency plan carried out by the authorities, in order to face the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spread. The production activities recovery in the Tianmen factory is forecasted for next week, while the trade activity in the factory of Changshu restarted on February 24.
Lu-Ve Group has grown in China 20 percent y-o-y in the last 3 years, but it has particularly paid attention to the sustainable economic development: with a supply of state-of-the-art technologies in the industrial refrigeration field, Lu-Ve is contributing to reduce the impact of productive processes on the environment in China.
The restart of the activities in the new factory, which will rely on almost 90% of the workers previously active in Changshu who have followed the company, is confirming the commitment of the Italian company towards a sustainable economic development in China.
Lu-Ve, a subsidiary owned by the Liberali family (the father, Iginio, is the chairman, and his son Matteo is the CEO) is experiencing a double-digit growth. In the first nine months of this year, the turnover grew by 26 percent to 284.7 million euros; in particular, the orders’ portfolio doubled to 84 million, thanks to the acquisition of the activities of Alfa Laval Air, which has been completed this year. With the same perimeter, the products’ turnover has increased by 7.3 percent and the orders’ portfolio by 17.5 percent.
