HANGZHOU, March 9 (Xinhua) -- The national delivery network of China's major courier companies has resumed full operation in areas excluding virus-hit Hubei Province, according to Cainiao Network, Alibaba's logistics arm.
The company said nearly 3 million workers in express deliveries and logistics have resumed work across the country as of March 8.
The company, along with five other major courier companies STO Express, YTO Express, ZTO Express, Best Express, and Yunda Express, had delivered nearly 50 million parcels of medical aid supplies since the novel coronavirus outbreak.
"Cainiao Network and the other five major Chinese courier companies represent 70 percent of the market's express delivery capacity," said Yang Daqing, a researcher with the China Society of Logistics. "Their operation resumption is a huge boost for economic recovery."
