BEIJING, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) on Thursday held an overseas investors online roadshow jointly with overseas institutions, reported the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News.
Nearly 30 representatives from overseas investment institutions of U.S., UK and Singapore among others held in-depth discussions at the event on issues like strategic planning and industry trends with three SZSE-listed firms namely Jiangxi Lianchuang Electronics Co., Ltd. (002036.SZ), GEM Co., Ltd. (002340.SZ) and Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (002384.SZ).
The move aims at improving the SZSE's service system for overseas investors and strengthening the openness of China's capital market amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, according to a SZSE source.
Through the online roadshow, overseas investors have got a full understanding of Chinese firms' production and operation status amid the epidemic, as well as China's specific measures and actual results in preventing and controlling the epidemic and maintaining economic and social stability, said the source.
All the overseas investors participating in the event have expressed their firm confidence in China's economic growth.
It's learned that SZSE has carried out global roadshows on a regular basis in recent years in a bid to help SZSE-listed firms improve foreign investor relationship management ability and enhance professional and international service levels by innovating and enriching service methods.
Besides, amid the epidemic, SZSE has also promptly issued English notices on continuous market operation, regularly published English weekly reports on the operation of SZSE, and actively provided online service platforms for listed companies to connect with overseas market resources.
