BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) -- China's top economic planner, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), together with relevant government departments, issued a guideline on Monday to accelerate intelligent development of coal mines, reported the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News.
The guideline proposes to deeply integrate coal industry development with artificial intelligence (AI), industrial IoT, cloud computing, big data, robots, and intelligent equipment to form an intelligent analysis and control system for the whole process of coal mine operation and management, guaranteeing the safe production and stable supply of coal.
According to the goals set in the guideline, a batch of intelligent demonstration coal mines of various types will be established by 2021, technical standards for intelligent coal construction will be formed by 2025, and all types of coal mines will basically realize intelligent transformation by 2035.
To achieve the above objectives, the guideline proposes a series of supporting measures. The functional departments will facilitate production capacity replacement and increase in intelligent demonstration coal mines. Government investment in coal mine safety reconstruction will be inclined for mines that actively promote the application of underground intelligent equipment, substitute miners to robots and cut the number of miners. In addition, financial institutions will be encouraged to help relevant industries.
It is learnt that some provinces, such as Henan, Guizhou and Shandong, have already paced up intelligent coal mine construction since last year, and maken process in miner reducing and advanced technical application. (Edited by Li Wenxin, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
