BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga in Beijing on Thursday.

Li said Battulga's visit demonstrates Mongolia's firm support to China's fight against the coronavirus outbreak, and its friendship toward the Chinese people.

China stands ready to work with Mongolia to overcome the impact of the epidemic, and gradually resume their normal exchanges and cooperation, said Li, expressing belief that after the epidemic is over, the two countries' relationship will embrace new development opportunities.

China's epidemic prevention and control work has shown positive changes, but the task is still arduous and can not afford to be taken lightly, said Li.

He said China is advancing the work on coordinating the prevention and control work with economic and social development, and has confidence and capability to win this battle and achieve this year's economic and social targets.

China has been sharing information with the international community in an open, transparent and timely manner, and is willing to continue to cooperate with the international community to safeguard world public health security, said Li.

Battulga expressed his sympathies to the Chinese people for their loss.

He said China has adopted effective measures and achieved positive results, expressing belief that China will surely win the battle.

Mongolia is willing to work with China to overcome difficulties, enhance mutual political trust, consolidate good neighborliness, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation to elevate bilateral relations to a new height, he said.
