PHNOM PENH, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on Thursday launched an online platform for investors to apply for importing production equipment, construction materials, and production inputs for their projects.
The CDC will review all applications electronically by utilizing the National Single Window (NSW) platform, said a CDC's statement, adding that all investors can submit their import applications through their website.
Speaking at the launching event, CDC's Secretary General Sok Chenda Sophea said some 101 companies had created accounts to use the platform, and 16 of them had already submitted their applications via the website.
"I believe that this new platform will help investors to reduce time and unnecessary expenses," he told about 200 participants at the event.
