BEIJING, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) – China's top customs authority on Monday rolled out measures to support the operation of the China-Europe freight train, to deepen economic and trade exchanges among the countries along the China-Europe freight train routes.
Efforts would be made to simplify the customs clearance procedures, enhance transport capacity for the freight trains, expand business scope of the freight trains, strengthen cooperation with the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), as well as improve operation efficiency of the freight train through implementing information technologies, according to document released by the General Administration of Customs (GAC) Monday.
Simplified customs clearances will be granted to waybills of cargoes with the interactive features such as the same entry and exit port, the same train number, as well as the same product name, to reduce the cost of customs declaration.
It will give more support to construct the China-Europe freight trains hubs or assembly centers and carry out the business of organizing goods and inter-modal transportations of domestic and foreign trade at the customs supervision site, said the GAC.
More businesses concern with cross-border e-commerce, express, and mail transport services are encouraged to be conducted by freight trains.
The GAC would facilitate the implementation of the measures on mutual recognition and facilitation of customs clearance with the AEO of countries along the China-Europe freight train routes.
In addition, the GAS said it would strengthen information sharing and electronic data transmission between customs and railway departments, to improve the efficiency of customs clearance and operation of the freight trains. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, 346129473@qq.com)
