DHAKA, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme has officially announced its entrance to Bangladesh.
Realme made the announcement at a press briefing in Dhaka Monday and said it is planning to setup a manufacturing unit in Bangladesh.
Earlier Realme handsets were sold to the Bangladesh market by dealers.
The Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone maker, established in May 2018, operates so far in 25 markets including China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Egypt and Europe.
Realme officials said the company, which also produces a wide variety of other products such as earphones, fitness bands and bags, is committed to bringing affordable and trendy 5G smartphonest.
According to Counterpoint's Q3 2019 Global Smartphone Shipments report, Realme was the fastest growing smartphone brand which reached the 7th spot globally.
