BEIJING, Feb.25 (Xinhua) -- China Tourist Attractions Association (CTAA) has recently issued a convention on enhancing epidemic prevention measures to provide safer and more orderly experience for tourists.
Up to 51 scenic spots include 33 tourist attractions with China's highest 5A rating such as the Ancient City of Ping Yao in north China’s Shanxi province have signed the convention, with more tourist sites expected to participate as efforts to restore culture-tourism related employment and consumption alongside with ongoing epidemic prevention and control.
Operating specifications in areas such as material preparation, facility disinfection, passenger flow control, personnel health management and online disclosure of epidemic prevention information are outlined in the convention.
For scenic spots with relatively dense crowds, big data and other technologies will be used to implement time-based appointments based on passenger flow as well as on-line ticketing to prevent crowding at the entry, it said.
Scenic spots across China are actively carrying out training on epidemic prevention and disinfection. The release of the convention could help guide relevant scenic spots to do a good job of epidemic prevention and control during business operation and help boost recovery of the cultural and tourism industries, Zeng Bowei, secretary general of the leisure ranch of China Tourism Association.
It is noted that Chinese cities such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Sanya have announced gradual reopening of the city's tourist attractions under stringent epidemic-control measures.
Affiliated parks and scenic spots of the West Lake scenic area of Hangzhou have reopened orderly on February 19 and top-rated scenic spots of Sanya reopened to tourists on February 21 in Sanya with medical checks and disinfection in place. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
