February 19, 2020

Abstract : The Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province in southwest China recently issued a recommended list of cloud service applications to help firms resume production amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.

BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province in Southwest China recently issued a recommended list of cloud service applications to help firms resume production amid the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.

A total of 197 cloud service apps have been recommended, 152 of which can be used for free in a short term.

These apps, provided by 20 cloud service providers including Tencent, Huawei and China Mobile, can help meet the needs of firms in telecommuting, research and development and production, operation and management, etc. during epidemic prevention and control, said Han Zhuyang, vice president of the Guizhou Institute of Quantum Information and Big Data Applied Technology.

It is learned that thanks to cloud services, some companies in Guizhou have already resumed work and production smoothly.

Currently, 41.6 percent of firms in Guizhou have adopted cloud services which contributes to the digital transformation and more flexible operation management of enterprises, said an official from the Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province.

According to the official, the administration will continue to add more cloud service apps to the recommended list. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
