BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- The Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, which was scheduled to be held from April 21 to 30, will be postponed because of the novel coronavirus epidemic, the organizers said on Monday in a statement.
Such move is aimed to ensure the health and safety of exhibitors and participants amid the ongoing epidemic.
According to the statement, the new schedule will be announced in the future.
The Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, held in Beijing every two years since 1990, is one of the dominant auto shows in China .
Due to the requirement of the epidemic prevention and control work, Beijing has enacted China’s top-level emergency response against the virus outbreak.
