BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- A freight train loaded with 41 containers left on Monday from Nanchang, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province, and headed for Moscow, Russia and Minsk, Belarus, marking the first China-Europe freight train leaving the province after the Spring Festival holiday.
The cargo includes auto parts, all-in-one machines, machinery equipment, and clothing worth about five million U.S. dollars made by enterprises in Jiangxi, local railway department said.
The local railway department has taken efforts to ensure the regular operation of China-Europe freight trains amid the novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control.
Cooperated with business operators and government departments, the railway department has promoted the efficiency of cargo shipment and ensured transport availability for enterprises' work resumption amid the epidemic.
To maintain orderly work of the epidemic prevention and control, the railway department has carried anti-epidemic work such as employee's body temperature detection and recording and disinfecting working environment.
It is noted that Nanchang has formed an import and export logistic corridor including four railway-sea intermodal export routes and five international freight train railways since 2017, with a total of nearly 60,000 TEUs, official data showed. (Edited by Jiang Feifan)
