BEIJING, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- The first round of talks on China-Cambodia free trade agreement (FTA) was concluded in Beijing on January 21, according to the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of China in Cambodia.
During the two-day talks, representatives from both countries made substantial negotiations on such topics as bilateral trade, rules of origin, customs administration, trade facilitation, and cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The talks are the first discussions since the bilateral FTA was initiated in December 2019 which came as a special arrangement in light of the friendly relations between China and Cambodia. (Edited by Gao Jingyan, gaojingyan@xinhua.org)
