MILAN, Jan. 7 (Class Editori) -- The milestone of the first event in 2020, the Italy-China Year of Culture and Tourism, reached the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou (Canton), directed by Lucia Pasqualini, in collaboration with the authority of the international airport and Citic Port.
On January 17, the 60 years of Made in Italy exhibition opens at the Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou, based on an exhibition project conceived by Galgano and Tota Associati, which presents forty creations of high fashion and ready-to-wear, in homage to the genius and sartorial knowledge of some prominent figures in fashion and design.
The exhibition showcases clothing models by Giorgio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Max Mara, Renato Balestra, Lancetti, Gai Mattiolo, Sorelle Fontana, Valentino, to name just a few of the most famous brands.
The exhibition will last three months in a setting, that of Terminal 2 at Guangzhou Airport where about 30 million passengers pass through each year in the spaces made available by the Citic Port Group, in front of the security checks of domestic flights.
Passengers in transit will be able to enjoy some spectacular creations worn by great stars on the red carpets, shown at the premiere or the Oscars by the most famous supermodels and celebrities, made for the characters of international cinema, including the famous Prada dress worn by the actress Cate Blanchett for the Oscar ceremony in 2000, the Armani dress worn by the iconic Sophia Loren in 2006 or the red Valentino worn by Liz Hurley, voted as the most beautiful dress on the red carpet.
The models, selected by Fiorella Galgano and Alessia Tota, from different archives and private collections, are traveling around the world, in 2018 in October the exhibition was in Toronto and last year in Moscow.
