BEIJING, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Tuesday unveiled 447 industry standards including the 5G mobile communication networks.
The 447 industry standards cover the fields of the communications industry, electronics industry, chemical industry, petrochemical industry, automobile industry, etc..
The move is the country's efforts to strengthen the top-level design in the national industry standards.
China will advance the standards formulation along with the technological innovation, product research and development, and test applications, and build a new standard system that meets the high-quality development of the information and communication industry, said Zhang Feng, chief engineer of the MIIT, at a conference celebrating the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) in May, 2019.
In early June of 2019, China granted 5G licenses for commercial use, marking the beginning of a new era in the country's telecommunications industry. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, [email protected])
