QINGDAO, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese electronics giant Hisense reported global sales of over 20 million televisions in 2019, and continued to top the Chinese market.
Sales of Hisense televisions accounted for over 20 percent of the Chinese TV market and also topped the South African and Australian markets, according to Lin Lan, vice president of Hisense Group.
Lin said Hisense, which has two TV brands: Hisense TV and Toshiba TV, has set a global sales goal of 40 million units in the future, aimed at ranking among the top two in the world.
In November 2017, Hisense bought a 95 percent stake in Japan's Toshiba Visual Solutions Corporation (TVS), as part of its efforts to expand globally.
