BEIJING, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese government will set up an assessment system through which the public and enterprises can rate services provided by the government.
The system, expected to be fully established by the end of 2020, aims to improve administrative performance and raise service awareness of governments at all levels, according to a guideline issued by the General Office of the State Council.
Enterprises and the public can rate government services on-site and online, through complaint boxes and hotlines, the guideline reads.
Rating results will be made public and be incorporated into the performance assessment of the government, it says.
The guideline also stipulates that a mechanism that investigates negative rating results and complaints and oversees rectification should be built.
