On September 1st and 3rd, Lijiang Huaping LONGi project with annual production of 6GW efficient monocrystalline silicon ingots and Baoshan LONGi project with annual production of 6GW monocrystalline silicon ingots were put into operation respectively in Yunnan, marking the capacity construction to hit a new high.
On September 1st, the launching ceremony of Lijiang Huaping project with annual production of 6GW efficient monocrystalline silicon ingots of LONGi was held at Clean Energy Industry Park in Huaping County. Zhang Renbin, deputy director of the municipal government, Yu Liping, Party chief of Huaping County, Pang Xinxiu, the county magistrate of Huaping County, attended the ceremony. The launching of the trial production symbolized the further cooperation of LONGi and Yunnan hydropower silicon project.
Huaping LONGi project with the annual production of 6GW monocrystalline silicon ingots officially started on February 12, 2019, with a total investment of 2.127 billion yuan. It is expected to be put into operation in February 2020 after which its annual sales income will reach about 3.5 billion yuan, creating more than 1,700 jobs. It took nearly seven months to complete the project, during which the plant construction and equipment installation went hand in hand and all parties overcomed the difficulties to fight day and night, ensuring the production of Huaping LONGi. Its pilot production also added a "new engine" for the industrial economic development in Huaping.
On September 3, the first eight monocrystalline furnaces of Baoshan LONGi Phase II project, with the annual production of the 6 GW monocrystalline silicon ingots located in Longling "Garden Park" of Baoshan Industry and Trade Park, began to heat up, marking the production of Baoshan LONGi Phase II project. Zhao Deguang, secretary of the Baoshan Municipal Party Committee, Jiang Chu, deputy mayor of the Municipal People's Government, and Duan Zhonghua, secretary of the county party committee, attended the ceremony and witnessed the production.
Baoshan LONGi project with the annual production of 6GW monocrystalline silicon ingots also can guarantee the efficient operation, covering an area of 110 mu with a construction area of 114,000 square meters and a total investment of about 3.46 billion yuan for building the largest monocrystalline production workshop in the world, which will be completed in January 2020.
At present, LONGi has developed its business in Chuxiong, Baoshan and Lijiang in Yunnan. In 2018, its output value was close to 5 billion yuan with marketing revenue of 4 billion yuan, creating 5,000 jobs. Thanks to the strong support of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, the provincial government and the party committees and governments at all levels, LONGi has made great progress in Yunnan at a fast pace. In the future, it will continue to strengthen cooperation with various governments in Yunnan which will become a a world-renowned clean energy equipment base.
