On June 28, the investment ceremony of LONGi Xianyang's 5GW monocrystalline module project was held in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province. Yue Liang, Secretary of the Xianyang Municipal CPC Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, Zhong Baoshen, Chairman of LONGi Green Energy Technology and leaders at all levels of the Xianyang City, signed a contract on behalf of both sides on the landing of LONGi's 5GW monocrystalline module project in Xianyang.
The 5GW monocrystalline module project is located in the Equipment Industry Park of Xianyang High-tech Development Zone, with total investment of about RMB 2.55 billion (about USD 371 million), and plans to gradually put into production in 2020.
At the signing ceremony, Liu Yinsheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Xianyang Municipal CPC Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Xianyang City, delivered a speech on behalf of the Xianyang Municipal CPC Committee and the Municipal Government. He said that Xianyang City is an important industrial hub and industrial city in Shaanxi Province, with good geographical advantages, talent advantages and industrial supporting advantages. LONGi is a world-renowned manufacturer of solar photovoltaic products with rich experience and first-class strength in the research and development and production of monocrystalline photovoltaic products. Xianyang Municipal CPC Committee and Municipal Government will spare no effort to support and serve the landing and operation of the project in all aspects, create a good business environment, and support the development of the enterprise.
Chairman Zhong Baoshen expressed his sincere thanks to the Xianyang Municipal CPC Committee and the Municipal Government for their support and help to LONGi. He said that the signing of the contract today has fully demonstrated the efficient and pragmatic work style of the leaders at all levels in Xianyang. It also reflects the good business environment of Xianyang City, as well as their profound understanding of the broad prospects of the photovoltaic industry, and reflects the determination and courage of Xianyang City to develop superior industries.
