BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- China's road logistics price index remained stable in October, the latest data showed.
The index in October came in at 97.7, slightly down 0.38 percent from September, but up 2.4 percent from a year earlier, according to a survey by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the Guangdong Lin'an Logistics Group.
In terms of region, the index rose in northeast China and southwest China but shrank in north China and central China.
The road logistics demand is expected to pick up in November due to factors like Double 11, an online shopping festival falling on Nov. 11 created by China's e-commerce giants, according to the federation.
China's road logistics price index is based on the average price in the last week of December 2012, with the monthly index starting point at 100.
