BEIJING, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Hidden Champions Development Summit is scheduled to kick off on November 7 during the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) in east China's Shanghai.
The summit held jointly by the China Economic Information Service (CEIS) of Xinhua News Agency and the Development Research Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), will see attendees exchange views about quality management, industrial transformation and upgrading, and enhancement in core competitiveness of enterprises and provide suggestions for promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and helping the growth of "hidden champions".
It is learned that Hermann Simon, a German business management specialist who coined the term "Hidden Champions" will deliver a keynote speech on the latest research results of the world's "hidden champions" at the summit.
Meanwhile, the Development Research Center of the SAMR and the CEIS will jointly launch a plan at the summit to look for a batch of hidden champions in China and analyze the characteristics, commonalities and development trends of these enterprises and the research results are expected to be released in 2020.
In addition, representatives of several Chinese and foreign "hidden champions" enterprises will share their growth history and valuable experience, and discuss the future growth path during the summit. (Contributed by Wu Shuang, edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
