BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) – East China's Shanghai has come under the global spotlight for the upcoming second China International Import Expo (CIIE) slated to take place from Nov.5 to 10.
A total of 64 countries and three international organizations have confirmed their participation in the country exhibitions at the CIIE.
Covering a total area of 30,000 square meters, the exhibitions will showcase the countries' development and achievements in trade and investment.
As one of the world's international trade centers, Shanghai will play a leading role in serving the Belt and Road Initiative and continuously inject fresh impetus into the country's economic growth.
Shanghai attracted nearly 10 billion US dollars in the first half of this year, remaining the top destination for global investors.
