BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhua)-- A new platform focusing on online government affairs services was unveiled last week at the 6th World Internet Conference held in the river town of Wuzhen in east China's Zhejiang Province.
The platform, jointly developed by the Zhejiang provincial government and Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, contains a variety range of functions such as government affairs' exclusive address book, smart meeting, mobile office, etc.
Zhejiang has increased efforts to provide round-the-clock digital government services, said Jin Zhipeng, director of the big data development administration of the province, adding that the platform is equipped with 715 auxiliary applications, with active users reaching about 1.23 million.
With the theme of “Intelligent Interconnection for openness and Cooperation -- Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace”, the 6th World Internet Conference, attended by around 1,500 guests from over 80 countries and regions. (Edited by Yang Yifan, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
