ZHENGZHOU, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) – Central China’s Henan Province has made efforts to vigorously promote rural environmental governance, push forward rural infrastructure construction and comprehensively optimize rural living and production conditions.
The province has recently offered 220 million yuan to support the rural environment improvement in about 2,000 villages, of which 67 million yuan has been allocated to the national poverty-stricken counties, accounting for 30.4 percent of the total funds, according to the provincial department of finance.
It is learned that the funds will be mainly used for rural waste treatment, sewage treatment and other projects.
Since September 2018, Henan has completed as much as 216 beautiful rural construction projects. The province has already spent overall 2.1 billion yuan on these projects since 2019. (Edited by Yang Yifan, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
