BEIJING, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- The 4th China-Arab States Tour Operators Conference that kicked off Wednesday in Yinchuan city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region attracted representatives of tourism departments and tourism operators from 13 countries related to the Belt and Road (B&R) as well as more than ten China's provinces, regions and cities to seek cooperation.

Theme on “Make Connection, Seek Development, Share Achievements”, the conference aims to bridge China with B&R-related countries and regions such as Arab States for tourism communication and cooperation.

B&R-related countries and regions should further strengthen tourism communication and cooperation, improve policy coordination, as well as share resources and co-develop tourism products, Zhang Xu, deputy head of China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, said at the opening ceremony.

Morocco, Chad, Indonesia, China's Jiangsu province and Ningxia displayed their unique tourism resources at the tourism promotion section during the conference.

Data shows that the Belt and Road enjoys about 74 percent of global world heritage, 53 percent nature reserves and 34 percent natural heritage thus boasts huge potential for tourism cooperation. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
