Salini teams up with China Construction Oceania to test itself in Australia

Abstract : The Roman manufacturer is part of one of the three consortia admitted to the short list for a public-private partnership contract for the construction of a road link between the M80 Ring Road and the Eastern Freeway in the city of Melbourne.

This is only part of a much larger construction site, whose value should be around 10.6 billion dollars, making it the largest road transport project in the history of the State of Victoria.

The race promises to be fierce, given the names of the contestants present in the consortia. The Roman manufacturer is part of the Spark consortium, which includes GS Engineering and Construction, China Construction Oceania, Broadspectrum Australia, Capella Capital, John Laing Investments and Lend Lease Engineering. A second group, OneLink, includes Cpb Contractors, Samsung C&T Corporation, Egis Road Operations, Ugl Engineering, Pacific Partnership and Dif Management Australia. Finally, there is ViaNova, which includes John Holland Group, Acciona Construction, Lendlease Services, Plenary Group and Acciona Concesiones.

Meanwhile, yesterday Salini announced that on October, 4 the assembly will be held to approve the 600 million capital increase and the consequent amendments to the bylaws in order to reflect the agreements between Salini Costruttori, Salini Impregilo and Cdp Equity on the corporate governance of Salini. Still on the subject of Progetto Italia, good news also came for Astaldi, both in Romania and in Italy. In Romania, the European Fund for Rural Development has approved a 363.3 million loan for the construction of the suspension bridge over the Danube in Braila, of which Astaldi is the contracting party in jv with Ihi Infrastructure. As for Italy, the group led by Ceo Filippo Stinellis was ratified by the State Council the victory against Pessina Costruzioni for the 96 million tender on the construction of the new hospital in Bari.
