MILAN, Aug 28 (Class Editori) - Italy and China celebrate their liaison once again. This time the focus of the spotlight is on the 40-year-long twinning between Milan and Shanghai. The two cities have compiled a rich calendar of activities mainly related to culture, design, fashion, food and lifestyle, and a unique dedicated logo has been created as well.
The calendar will start in September in Milan to continue in Shanghai in November, in conjunction with the China international Import Expo and Salone del Mobile. The first date is set for next Monday, when the morning will open at 9 am in the Sala Alessi of Palazzo Marino with the special event Investment & Business in Shanghai, focusing on the Jing'An district, one of the most important economic hubs of the eastern metropolis, represented in Italy by Stefano Mologni.
Called the new Manhattan of Shanghai with a population of one million people, Jing'An will present for the first time in Italy, along with its governor Yu Yong, who is the guest of honor, the business opportunities to be offered to Italian companies, with particular attention to the sectors mentioned. Developed thanks to the support of Italy-China Fashion and Creativity Committee and under the patronage of Cnmi-Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, the forum has Class Editori as its media partner, along with Italy China Foundation, Montenapoleone district and Assolombarda.
The goal of the district, which today covers an area of 37 square kilometers in Shanghai, is to enhance its international role and appeal to a wider range of entrepreneurs worldwide, encouraging contacts and future growth strategies. Its economic center is already highly developed, driven by the construction sector, commercial and financial services, culture and creativity. Here the foreign economy has a turnover that exceeds 50% of Shanghai's total revenue, which is why Jing'An is also the first choice for the headquarters of indigenous and multinational companies.
