MILAN, Aug 27 (Class Editori) - Three hundred square meters of exhibition space in one of the most important Chinese trade fairs in the field of science, technology and innovation will host the event. Italy presented its Pavilion yesterday during the second Smart China Expo scheduled in Chongqing until August, 29. The four days of the exhibition will bring together 800 Chinese and foreign companies in one of the most dynamic cities of China.
Italy, together with Great Britain and Singapore, is a guest of honor at the event. The Italian Pavilion is managed by the General Consulate of Italy in Chongqing, in collaboration with ICE and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China. The structure will give space to some companies that are particularly representative of Italian industrial and technological excellence. Present among others the Leonardo helicopter division, which exhibits an AW109 helicopter in the Emergency Medical Services configuration. CTF Automobile China Investment, importer and distributor of major Italian automotive brands such as Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo, is exhibiting a Ferrari Portofino and a Maserati Levante.
The list of companies also includes Saic Fiat Powertrain Hongyan, a joint venture founded in June 2007 by Saic-Iveco; Fiat Powertrain Technologies Industrial (FPT Industrial) and Chongqing Machinery & Electronics, one of the largest manufacturers of industrial engines. The jv is exhibiting a 9 liter Cursor engine with FPT Natural Gas technology.
STMicroelectronics for its turn will exhibit a Smart Factory model and automotive applications. Denisi Engineering presents virtual reality interfaces to potential buyers. The B810 group, a company specialized in the design and construction of integrated electronic systems, offers its innovative devices aimed at the automotive sector, together with an artificial intelligence application for predictive maintenance. Finally, MV Agusta is going to exhibit a motorbike model.
On 28 August, during the Expo, the first edition of the China-Italy Big Data (Automotive) and Smart Mobility Forum dedicated to smart mobility will be held. Organized by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, in collaboration with the China International Intelligent Industry Expo Organizing Committee, with the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute and the Beijing Institute of Technology, the Forum was born from the desire to explore concrete possibilities for collaboration between Italy and China in the fields of academic and industrial businesses.
