BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese securities company, reported a 25.22 percent rise in net profit in the first half of the year.
The company's net profits attributable to shareholders totalled 5.02 billion yuan (711.3 million U.S. dollars), it said in a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Its revenue rose 22.99 percent year on year to 14.10 billion yuan.
The company's investment banking and institutional investor service businesses contributed 41.22 percent to the revenue, reaching 5.81 billion yuan, up 33.59 percent year on year.
China's securities industry saw robust growth in H1 amid continued reform of the capital market. The securities industry saw combined profit growth of 102.86 percent in the first half, the company said, citing data from the Securities Association of China.
