BEIJING, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Anhui Conch Cement Co., China's cement maker said Thursday in its semi-annual report that its net profits has posted a 17.91 percent year on year growth in the first half of the year to 15.26 billion yuan.
Revenue surged 56.63 percent year on year to 71.644 billion yuan. In the first half of the year, Conch Cement has commissioned several new projects including a new cement mill and one commercial concrete project.
The company attributed its increase to the steady growth of clinker sales as well as product prices rise. Statistics showed that in the first half of 2019, the country's cumulative cement output was 1.045 billion metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.8 percent, hitting a new high in the same period over the past six years.
Founded in 1997, the company mainly engaged in the production and sales of cement and commodity clinker, is also the largest single brand supplier all over the world.
