BEIJING, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Beijing has recently issued a circular to push forward the coordinated development of e-commerce and express delivery, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Thursday.
Beijing was expected to set up an efficient e-commerce and express delivery service system by the end of 2020, said the circular.
According to the circular, the city will make efforts to cultivate a host of e-commerce and express logistics development demonstration zones and model enterprises involved in green express delivery.
Besides, the circular called for local authorities to strengthen mutual communication and cooperation to further speed up the transformation and upgrading of the city’s express delivery industry and further propel the sustainable and healthy development of e-commerce.
The circular was jointly issued by Beijing Municipal Postal Administration and other eight local departments.
