BEIJING, July 8 (Xinhua) -- The middle section of the China-Russia east-route natural gas pipeline started construction on the morning of July 4 in Faku County of Shenyang, northeast China's Liaoning Province, according to the local press Liaoning Daily.
The middle section starts from Changling County, Jilin Province, and ends in Yongqing County, Hebei province, with a total length of 1,110 kilometers. The project is scheduled to be completed in October, 2020.
The China-Russia east-route natural gas pipeline is an important achievement of the two countries to strengthen their comprehensive energy cooperation partnership. The Chinese section of the China-Russia east-route natural gas pipeline originates in Heihe, Heilongjiang province, and terminates in Shanghai, with a total length of 3,371 kilometers.
