BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- China's leading omnichannel retailer Suning will continue to expand its presence in the Yangtze River Delta, with plan to open 2,000 more smart retail stores in the following three years, said Zhang Jindong, chairman of Suning Holdings Group Co. Ltd, during an interview with Shanghai Securities News on Wednesday.
At present, all industries of Suning are headquartered in the Yangtze River Delta, and the number of existing offline smart retail stores has reached 3,200, introduced Zhang.
To accelerate the development of new retailing mode in the region, Suning will also continue to drive technological innovation by investing in small and medium-sized enterprises, especially innovative enterprises, and further facilitating sharing of core cloud computing platforms in terms of logistics, finance and data, added Zhang.
