BEIJING, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Hainan Rubber Group (601118.SH) has reached a strategic cooperation with Overseas Chinese Town Group (Hainan) to jointly build a national rubber theme park in South China’s Hainan province, and planned to offer the land of about 400,000 mu (about 266.67 hectares) of rubber forest for this project.
The project is expected to better integrate resources of forestry, tourism, culture and finance, facilitating the construction of National Ecological Civilization Pilot Zone (Hainan) launched recently by the Chinese government.
Hainan Rubber Group is a leading natural rubber manufacturer in China, and the largest state-owned company under Haiken Group. It has 25 branches and 18 wholly-owned subsidiaries, with business scope covering 15 countries and regions in the world.
Overseas Chinese Town Group is a national leader in cultural and creative industries, directly managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.
