Saxony-Anhalt's Economics Minister Armin Willingmann, a member of the Social Democrats, on Thursday awarded the Aura Foreign Trade Prize to three particularly successful export companies. This year's awards go to Wirth GmbH from Landsberg (Saalekreis), Codixx AG from Barleben near Magdeburg and Maaß-Bau GmbH from Thale in the Harz Mountains, the state's economics ministry announced. The companies accepted the prizes at the Foreign Trade Day in Halle. According to Willingmann, the winners have been very successful on foreign markets for several years. The Aura Prize for Foreign Trade has been awarded since 2017. A film is made for each winner to help them promote their businesses.
Wirth GmbH produces vacuum technology with which heavy loads can be lifted and which was used in the construction of the new company headquarters of the US tech giant Apple in California. The company has customers in more than 20 countries.
