SHANGHAI, May 15 (Xinhua) – China’s environmental protection industry is set to usher in a new round of consolidation.
With the fierce competition in environmental protection industry, the importance of technology is further highlighted and the trend of industry consolidation has emerged.
Companies, which possess advanced technologies, will take advantage of industry consolidation.
By 2020, business income of the country’s environmental protection industry is expected to exceed 2 trillion yuan and the growth rate of the industry will be much higher than that of the national economy, according to a report released by China Association of Environmental Protection Industry.
The IE Expo 2019, an annual exhibition featuring the latest developments in the environmental protection technologies and services, was held in Shanghai last month.
About 2,047 enterprises took part in the exhibition, up 17 percent from 2018.
