BEIJING, May 9 (Xinhua) -- China and Kazakhstan will hold their second forum on local cooperation in Alma Ata, the largest city in Kazakhstan, on May 15, according to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) Thursday.
About 400 government officials and business representatives of the two countries will attend the forum, MOC spokesperson Gao Feng said.
The two sides will conduct exchanges and explore new opportunities for cooperation in Belt and Road construction, production capacity and investment, agriculture, logistics and e-commerce, he noted.
Local cooperation between the two countries is highly complementary, Gao said, adding that it will help push the China-Kazakhstan comprehensive strategic partnership to higher level.
The first forum was held in September 2017 in Nanning City, capital of southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
