BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Promoted by the Belt and Road Initiative, Luzhou Laojiao has made inroad into most countries in Southeast Asia and about 11 countries in Africa.
Liu Miao, Chairman of Luzhou Laojiao, made the above remarks on the the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in Beijing.
As China’s well-known baijiu producer, Luzhou Laojiao will expand its business in South Africa from 2019 by adopting a localized promotion strategy with focus on both Chinese and local consumers.
Liu noted that the company looks forward to seeking more opportunities for cooperation in the fields of intelligent manufacturing and logistics system construction, and has been trying to further localize their brand operations and marketing in a bid to build Luzhou Laojiao a Chinese brand that local people love and respect.
Luzhou Laojiao has showed strong performance in recent years. Data showed that the operating income of Luzhou Laojiao in 2018 amounted to 13.055 billion yuan, an increase of 25.60 percent year on year.
Under the Belt and Road Initiative, Luzhou Laojiao has established distribution networks in nearly 50 countries and regions around the world, becoming one of widely recognized and most popular Chinese liquor brands in the world.
