BEIJING, April 3 (Xinhua) -- A seminar on cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries for eco-friendly cities was held in Beijing on March 26.
The seminar was hosted by Foreign Economic Cooperation Office (FECO) of Ministry of Ecology and Environment, gathering policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders from China, ASEAN and international organizations.
China made positive progress in urban ecological environmental protection last year, said Liu Chunlong, an official of FECO, adding that since proposed in 2015, the China-ASEAN eco-friendly city development partnership has developed into an important platform for China - ASEAN countries in urban green and sustainable development cooperation.
Moreover, participants of the seminar discussed future work arrangement on eco-friendly city cooperation and shared experiences in sustainable urban construction.
