The German state of Saxony-Anhalt is bringing together local companies and Chinese investors at a multi-day conference in the city of Magdeburg.
It is the first time that the state is hosting such a meeting instead of sending a delegation to China, said Thomas Einsfelder, head of IMG, which promotes investments in Saxony-Anhalt. This way, small and medium-sized businesses can also take advantage of the opportunity and establish contacts to the important Chinese market.
Einsfelder said the event is not only about establishing trade relations between companies, but also forming research partnerships.
The conference is set to start on Tuesday evening and run until Thursday, according to the organisers. More than 200 companies have registered, 150 of them from China.
