BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Total scale of sports industry in east China's Jiangsu province is estimated to hit 400 billion yuan in 2018, accounting for 1.45 percent of the province's total GDP, according to the Sports Bureau of Jiangsu on last Friday at the sport industry conference.
In recent years, sports consumption has become a new momentum for economic development. The per capita sports consumption of urban and rural residents in Jiangsu province is estimated at about 2,300 yuan in 2018 with total scale of sports consumption of 180 billion yuan in 2018.
Besides, Jiangsu released lists for its third batch of sports characteristic towns and second batch of sports service complexes to further promote multi-dimensional integration of sports industry.
