BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) – East China’s Zhejiang province has recently issued an action plan on advancing the development of new-generation artificial intelligence (AI) for 2019-2022, Shanghai Securities News reported on Tuesday.
The action plan, jointly compiled by the provincial department of Economic and Information and the department of science and technology, focuses on five key tasks, including exploring core basic theories and technologies of AI, developing basic software and hardware, accelerating the development of AI products, promoting AI applications, and deepening the military and civilian integration with AI.
According to the action plan, Zhejiang will strive to make significant progress in multiple fields by 2022, including key areas, basic capabilities, enterprise cultivation, and supportive systems in an attempt to become the country's leading new-generation AI industrial development demonstration area and the new highland for innovation development.
