BEIJING, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) --- East China's Shanghai Municipality will further advance the green development in 2019, said the city's mayor Ying Yong in the municipal government work report on Sunday.
According to the report, Shanghai will adhere to ecological priority, protect and improve the ecological environment and accelerate the construction of ecologically livable city.
Specially, Shanghai will comprehensively promote a new round of clean air action plan, build a nationwide carbon emission trading system, complete the low-nitrogen transformation of 3,600 oil-fired gas boilers, and strengthen the comprehensive renovation of heavily polluted diesel trucks.
Besides, all city buses to be put into use will be replaced by new energy vehicles (NEV) so as to improve air quality.
More attention will be paid into keys fields such as green ecological space construction, waste classification and treatment, as well as soil and water pollution control, stressed Ying. (Edited by Bao Nuomin, baonuomin@xinhua.org)
