A thriving economy is fuelling Germany's consumption: turnover in the retail sector grew for the ninth year in a row in 2018.
Revenue rose by up to 1.5 per cent as compared to the previous year, according to estimates released by the Federal Statistical Office on Monday.
The forecast is based on figures from January to November.
The German retailers association HDE recently raised their revenue growth prognosis for 2018 to 2.3 per cent, up from 2 percent.
