BEIJING, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Many provinces and regions in China reported a faster growth in their general public budget revenue in 2018, according to their newly-released fiscal revenue and expenditure statistics, reported the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News.
In 2018, the general public budget revenue of East China’s Zhejiang province reached 659.808 billion yuan, showing an year-on-year increase of 11.1 percent, the fastest growth among available data.
Shanghai ranked first among China’s provinces and municipalities for the time being with its general public budget revenue in 2018 standing at 710.81 billion yuan, up 7 percent compared with 2017 data.
East China’s Shandong province raked in general public budget revenue of 648.5 billion yuan in 2018, up 6.3 percent from the previous year.
Under the premise of fiscal revenue growth, local governments also attached importance to secure expenditure on improving people’s livelihood.
