BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Sichuan Province has just announced to start construction of 17 key transport projects with a total investment of 60 billion yuan.
The 17 projects include two expressway projects and 15 national and provincial trunk highways which will cover the province's five economic zones and big four city clusters.
It was learned that the expansion project of the Nanchong-Chengdu section of the G42 expressway which will be implemented has a length of 240 kilometers, with a total investment of 38 billion yuan.
The Dechang-Huili expressway is located in the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, with a length of 77 kilometers and a total investment of 12.1 billion yuan.
The 15 national and provincial trunk highway projects totaled 681 kilometers, with a total investment of 9.9 billion yuan. (Edited by Sun Huanjie, sunhj@xinhua.org)
