BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese tech giant Baidu sealed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Yangquan municipal government in north China's Shanxi Province on Monday to promote the construction of AI city and the Internet of self-driving vehicles in the city, reported Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News.
According to people.cn, the two sides will speed up the application of new-generation information technology represented by AI in fields such as transportation, environmental protection, city governance, health care, tourism, logistics and industrial manufacturing of Yangquan.
Besides, Baidu will also help Yangquan to form a batch of AI data annotation-centered companies and attract some companies focusing on AI solutions to settle in the city, fostering the upgrading of the city's industrial modes as well as quickening its intelligent process.
As for the Internet of self-driving vehicles, Baidu will help the city to build a related demonstration base and an industrial park to promote the construction of the whole self-driving industry chain in the city. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
