BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) – A new round of favorable policies were unveiled by China's local authorities to optimize business environment and support enterprises' development recently.
For instance, east China's Shandong Province recently released a plan on business environment optimization, clarifying a total of 38 tasks to promote transformation of government functions broadly and deeply.
South China's Hainan Province has formulated an action outline and proposed a total of 45 innovative and practical measures focusing on legalization, internationalization and facilitation of business environment.
Besides, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shaanxi, Hunan and other places also further introduced related policies to advance enterprises' development.
China's central authorities also launched a series of policies to optimize business environment for enterprises this year, focusing on areas such as high-quality development, convenient investment and trade, fair competition, efficient business registration approval and effective business environment evaluation.
Feng Qiaobin, professor at Chinese Academy of Governance, pointed out that good business environment is an important foundation for modern economic system construction and high-quality development, and it's helpful for enterprises to reduce costs and pursue sustainable development.
Recently, a report on China's business environment index was jointly released by Xinhua Daily Telegraph and Shanghai Academy of Huaxia Social Development Research, evaluating business environment in the 31 provinces and regions in Chinese mainland from market environment, investment environment and legal environment.
According to the report, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Beijing and Zhejiang were the top five.
It is reported that in recent two years, China's central and local authorities have launched lots of supportive policies for emerging industries such as new energy and intelligent industry, fostering high-quality development from all respects.
Quickening the upgrading of Chinese enterprises' techniques and products and promoting the shift of Chinese products to Chinese brands are the key for enterprises to win markets in the future, noted Wang Gao, professor at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
According to Zhang Junkuo, vice-minister of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), reform and opening-up should be further promoted and institutional environment concerning high-quality development should be improved, so as to advance high-quality development of enterprises.
