Abstract : Tianqi Lithium Corporation (TQC, 002466.SZ) finished the purchase of a 23.77-percent stake in Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) indirectly held by Nutrien Ltd. for 4.066 billion U.S. dollars on Monday.
BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Tianqi Lithium Corporation (TQC, 002466.SZ) finished the purchase of a 23.77-percent stake in Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) indirectly held by Nutrien Ltd. for 4.066 billion U.S. dollars on Monday, according to the company's filing to the stock exchange.
It is the largest acquisition made by Chinese enterprise in Chile.
With the completion of the acquisition, TQC's holdings in SQM have grown to 25.86 percent. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
